WATERING CATTLE IN THE CREEK INTRO

This video shows a environmentally responsible way to let cattle drink out of a stream. When we let cattle water out of the creek I put up a electric fence in a small area in the creek so the cows can only drink in that area an not run up an down the creek destroying the creek bank. When I first bought my farm the previous owner did not fence off the creek and the cattle had destroyed all of the vegetation along the bank and there was a great deal of erosion when the creek would flood. After I took over I fenced along both sides of the creek so the cattle couldn’t run at large. Now I have alot of trees growing on the creek bank and this helps protect the banks from erosion.
